Dog shows R going 2 the dogs.

When I was a kid, there were ads about the dog show in Bermuda. The photos were always beautiful with ocean and people in tropical clothes.

I think it was more common, but at least one woman who I spoke to, said that she and some of her friends continued to raise dogs just to go to the Bermuda dog show.

Then there were people, more than I can re-count, who got into dogs as a tax shelter, so they could write off motering about the country in a RV.

Now it is the Long Beach California show (this year's is in a couple more weeks) - perhaps a nice place, but not an upscale island. Dog shows are so going to the dogs, aren't they?
